Pledge for Practice is an annual 30-day initiative by Taalim School that challenges music and dance students in the U.S. to turn their committed daily practice into funds that support financially disadvantaged artists in India in continuing the pursuit of their artistic talent.

Every year, participants pledge to practice music or dance for a certain number of hours each day for one month while making a daily log of their completed effort. In addition, they connect with family, friends, teachers, and community members to collect donations in support of their hard work.

The 2024 practice phase ran from March 1 - 30 with our virtual recital premiering on Taalim's YouTube channel.

Over the course of the 8 years Taalim has been holding the annual Pledge for Practice fundraiser, we have had nearly 200 students participate to gather over 4,000 combined hours of music or dance practice!
